I recently caught up with Yahaya Baruwa, the bestselling author of the novel, Struggles of a Dreamer I had the privilege of interviewing last year. I had been curious to know what he might be up to since our last conversation. Little to my surprise, I found out that he is working on something quite interesting. “I am in the process of printing the World’s Largest Published Novel to set a new Guinness World Record!” he said.
He went on to explain that the large novel will break the current record originally set by the novel The Little Prince. Yahaya will be using his award winning novel Struggles of a Dreamer as his prototype. This book will be 8 ft 5 in high, 5 ft 5 in wide (closed), and approximately 11 feet wide (opened), and it will contain approximately 200 pages and have a full-color hard cover. Mostly constructed by hand, this massive book will be fortified with aluminum, synthetic (tear resistant) paper and sewn together with nylon stitching. If this isn’t great example of thinking big, I don’t know what is!
Another reason Yahaya wants to do this is because he wants to inspire the next generation of young authors/achievers by demonstrating that a person is limited only by their imagination and not their age.
To bring the World’s Largest Novel to life, he has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the record breaking project.
