Bianca Zanini is an award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker.
She works primarily as a video journalist, producing pieces for TV and online media sites in the US, Europe and Latin America. She also writes articles and directs her own projects.
She is currently directing two independent documentary films in different stages from early pre-production to production (see Documentary Filmmaker).
Her last film was recently selected for the prestigious Canadian Hot Docs International Film Festival.
In addition, Bianca Zanini works as a documentary film editor on a regular basis, and the past year she edited several short and feature length films. Until recently, she assisted in the production and editing of the Emmy-nominated HBO-series ‘MasterClass’ for the Academy Award-winning production company Simon & Goodman.
Bianca Zanini is Danish-Brazilian and has been based in New York for the past four years. At the moment she is in Copenhagen, but she is always on the move. She speaks five languages (English, Danish, Portuguese, Spanish, French) and is learning Hebrew.
With a background in international broadcast and written journalism, in Human Rights Communications at the United Nations – and in both classical and gypsy music – Bianca Zanini has built up a unique set of skills and shows a strong recognizable voice and a clear style as a director in her online video productions and her documentary films.
